CIPET, Raipur organized a one-day conclave on "Sustainable Plastic Packaging: Bridging the Gap and Opportunities", with the support of the Chhattisgarh State Industrial
Development Corporation (CSIDC) and District Industries Centre (DIC) under the RAMP scheme of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
The program was inaugurated virtually by the Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Shishir Sinha, Director General, CIPET in the presence of distinguished guests
Mr. Rituraj Tamrakar from Directorate of Industries, Government of Chhattisgarh; Mr. K.B. Irpate, from MSME DFO, Raipur; Mr. Santosh Jain, President,
Chhattisgarh Plastic Manufacturers Association; and Dr. Alok Sahu, Principal Director & Head, CIPET Raipur. In his welcome address, Dr. Alok Sahu extended warm
greetings to all dignitaries and participants. He underlined the objectives of the conclave, while expressing gratitude for the active participation of all guests.
The Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Shishir Sinha, Director General, CIPET, delivered the Chief Guest speech and congratulated CIPET Raipur for organizing the
conclave and termed it the need of the hour. In his key note address, highlighted the importance of 'Sustainable packaging through recycling and upcycling' stressing
the role of the three E's – Environment, Economics, and Energy. Prof. Sinha urged a shift from "NO Plastics" to "KNOW Plastics" and emphasized transforming
Plastic Waste Management into Plastic Wealth Management. He called upon industries, MSMEs, and academia to work collectively for innovative, eco-friendly, and
economically viable packaging solutions.
