ABOUT CBPST - KOCHI
Centre for Biopolymer Science and Technology (CBPST) a unit of CIPET, was established at Kochi in the year 2012. CBPST is a model centre for
Academic Programs in Biopolymer Science & Technology and will also focus on promoting Bio plastics and allied industries.
Kochi (colonial name Cochin) is a vibrant city situated on the south-west coast of the Indian peninsula in the breathtakingly scenic and prosperous
state of Kerala, hailed as 'God's Own Country'. Its strategic importance over the centuries is underlined by the sobriquet Queen of the Arabian Sea.
Informally, Cochin is also referred to as the Gateway to Kerala.
CBPST is having academic collaboration with Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) and the following Academic Programs are offered:
- Doctoral Program in Material Science with Special Emphasis on Biopolymers (Ph.D.)
POSTGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAM
M.Sc. (BIO-POLYMER SCIENCE)
Duration : 2 years
Entry Qualification :
Candidates with B.Sc. Degree in any branch with Chemistry as one of the subjects can apply. Candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% marks in the main and subsidiary subjects taken together.
